I couldn't agree more. Once again Titleist goes out of there way to inform their golfers so we can play our best. Now, buying a new set of wedges every few months is a different story. If only we were like Jordan Spieth! Way to go TT!

Great video! I was wondering if there's a maintenance instructions for wedges as well. My sm5 had a deep scratch after a bunker shot on my 10th game. Painful to see it when ever I address it.

Great question.

For basic maintenance, we recommend washing the wedge heads with a medium firm brush and warm, soapy water and drying completely.

Unfortunately, if the damage is severe, such as dents and dings caused by adverse ground conditions, there isn't much that can be done. Depending on the location of the scratch/dent, grinding it out could affect performance and swing weight.

Any thoughts on groove sharpeners for those of us who may hang on to wedges a bit longer than 75 rounds?

Amazing facts in that video, I can't wait to get my new SM6's out on the course, my prior wedges were over 8 years old. I just hope I don't suck it back off the green now!

So, I've often wondered why there isn't some gadget that we could use to check all of our clubs grooves. Grooves are supposed to be at a specific dimension I think. It would be nice to be able to monitor wear somehow before using a groove sharpener or replacing an iron. Anyone know of such a gadget?

next objective for the Voke, longer lasting grooves with better material science.

OK. I'll say it.
Is there any way for us lay folks to determine how much our grooves might have deteriorated?
I play 80-100 rounds a season and don't expect to be replacing my 3 wedges on an annual basis. Maybe the answer is to accept some extra run as a consequence of aging and allow for it.

I guess it may be wise to practice with our previous wedges and keep the new SM6s for when it counts! I have three previous models of Vokeys. I guess I'll put new grips on them and practice with them!
