Does anyone know what hat he is wearing? It seams to be a smaller brim than those currently offered.

I think he is wearing the Breezer Bucket. I have two pair and use them a lot here in the Phoenix area. They are much lighter than the old cotton ones and they wash out and dry real easily.

I noticed in an earlier comment that you use the Breezer Bucket. How do you wash and dry them?

Yep Chris, I have a white one and a grey one. They wash out real easy. I just wash them in the sink with a little bit of dish soap and the set them outside or in the garage to dry. I put them over an upside-down plastic gallon milk jug to help keep the brim in place.

Dale, I appreciate your kind response. Sounds easy enough. I have normally used Hat Saver on cotton hats to prevent sweat marks, etc., but I do not believe you should spray this on the performance material hats.

    Thanks again and play well.

Is it the Montauk or StaDry? I can't find any pictures of him - both of those look like they have a less floppy brim.

Could it have been the StaDry bucket? The only other is the Breezer.

I don't think it is either. The Breezer has a flat, ironed on Titleist logo and white under the brim. His has grey under the brim. I don't think the white ones he wears in extreme heat could possibly be StaDry. Pictures of him show a soft, flexible brim so it can't be StaDry. His hats look like they are either the older cotton buckets that are no longer available or he is having his Titleist logo added to a hat brand like Imperial. I have seen other pros that want a particular hat, customized with Titleist logos and not be available to the general public. Rare but it does happen.

    Dale,
That’s what I’m thinking. Special make up for him. I do notice it has the elastic with the stopper in the back.

Those style of bucket hats were offered about 3 or 4 years ago. I grabbed 3 of them. Soon after, they were gone. You have to constantly check the Gear section of this website. Things sometimes come and go quickly.

I wear an 8 and XXL works well in Titleist hat/caps. You need to find one that you like and try it or them on until you find one that fits. Over the years, I have found that hats/caps not all fit the same in a run and you must try them on. Out of a dozen maybe two or three fit the same in the same size.
  13. Breezer IMHO

Hopefully with the W, that bucket may be offered. Looks to be cotton w/a size adjuster like the Aussie.

He is wearing a breezer bucket, $45. There are two colors offered on this site. Maybe white will be added in the future.

Close but not exactly. The Breezer has the Titleist logo ironed on. The hat he wears is fully embroidered and has the FJ logo on one side and ProV1 on the other. The Brewers are plain on the sides. I know, I have the white one and the grey one.

Breezer, not Brewers. Stupid auto-correct on my computer must be from Milwaukee.

I'm 99.999% sure it's a Breezer. The main difference between what Peter Malnati wears and what we can get at retail is the version he wears has all the brand logos embroidered on it. The retail Breezer has an "ironed on" Titleist logo only. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the tour version of the Breezer will be available at retail markets.

Some other subtle differences. While not cotton, it does appear to be made of a slightly heavier material than the Breezer. The brim is also a little thicker although not so thick to completely hold its shape (which I would prefer). I guess I should have hit him up for one last January. Haha.
