    Hey Team Titleist,

Have you heard the old golf saying, "Drive for show, putt for dough"? If so, you need to erase it from your memory banks, because golf analytics is showing that there is a direct and important correlation between driving efficiency (a combination of distance and accuracy) and score. Need help in this regard? Look no further than this tip from Titleist staff member Ryan Hager, who shares a great way to simplify your strategy and hit more reliable tee shots.

Good tip. I use my 15.75 three wood for the right to left draw, but most of my drives are those cuts with my 11.25 TSI3 driver. My safe shot and like today only missed on fairway. Only by about three yards. I like Ryan's thinking. Has worked for me for a long time. Being I play from the senior tees, will use the 17 degree hybrid on occasions for the shorter par fours that have those dogleg lefts.

I'll give his approach a try tomorrow and see what happens. I agree with the concept, but will have to see if I can recreate the results.
  5. My home course is very tight so i use 4 iron or 3 wood a lot more than driver. on a lot of holes, even if you hit a great drive you will run out

Love the tip - such a complicated game with so many variables. Getting stock shots with a reliable shape locked in is so important and helps with nerves. Great tip!
