Made the trip to Streamsong with 7 of my buddies this past weekend. We were on our final round of the trip and were playing Streamsong Black. I was coming off a disastrous 3 putt from about 15 feet, which put me at +1 on the round. We step up to the tee on 15 - a short par 3 measuring only 116 yards. We had a touch of wind coming into and off of the right. Our caddy advised us to play a 120 shot, so I pulled my 48 degree. The guy who hit before me hit a nice shot into the green to about 4 or 5 feet and the pin was nestled into a little bowl, so I could tell that if you got the ball just to the right of the hole, it might dance around the hole, as his did. I flushed the 48*. A nice tight little draw influenced by the wind. It landed on the slope perfectly and started to make a left hand turn towards the hole. It rolled a few feet and disappeared. I was shocked - I don't even think I was the first one to react. But once the realization had set in that the ball was gone from sight and everyone else around me was acting a fool, it dawned on me what had happened. Very cool moment. One that I won't forget anytime soon. P.S. Streamsong is awesome and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who ever gets the chance to make the trip there.
