Scotty Cameron used putters hold their price. It is pretty much a sellers market. You have to make sure you are buying from a reputable seller. I have purchased used SC putters in the past but from only people I know or Titleist accounts to ensure authenticity.

Your best bet is to find someone who has an old SC who is willing to let it go for a decent price. Check around with you golfing buddies.

For the most part, Cameron putters hold value very well. I found some interesting pieces in different places: 2ndswing.com; the bargain used barrel of a local driving range (the putter had been 'abused' a bit but was perfectly usable), maybe even the trade in section of a PGA Superstore or Golfers Warehouse. I like to see the putters to determine condition before I make a purchase, whenever possible.

Found my Special Select Squareback at PGA Tour Superstore. Went in to get my Newport 2 regripped and went over to the used putter rack while waiting. Saw a Scotty grip in the gaggle of putters and pulled it out. Naturally I had to give it a good home.

There are a couple sites on Facebook that consist of very knowledgeable people. You can usually find good deals. If what your looking for is not there, send in a message asking for what you want. It is crazy how many Scotties some people hold.

Facebook Scotty groups or FB Marketplace are good places to start. There are deals to be had, but be careful as there are a lot of scammers too. But if you're looking for a good, off the rack Scotty, like a Special Select from a few years ago, or even a Super Select, there are good options out there. 2nd Swing is also a decent place to look, they post up good pics, their prices are ok/fair, and they have a playability guarantee.

If I were going to buy a used scotty cameron putter I would be very careful of fakes. The market is flooded with them so I would know exactly what I was looking for and then be very careful.

2nd Swing Golf is the store I trust the most. I bough a used Scotty Del Mar for under 350. It was 9 out of 10 condition.

Which Scotty are you looking for? I switched from a Select Newport 2 to a Phantom 5.5, so the the Newport is just sitting in my office not being used.

The refurbishment cost with additional options can actually run higher than a new Scotty customized for loft/lie/length/grip purchased through Titleist. I never see a 33" in inventory at any dealer. I've always loved the balance and feel of a Scotty, but consider them tools and don't go in for custom painting, etc. Up to you to value the cost of a refurbishment if you are hankering for a jewel.
There's usually a good selection of gently worn Scotty's for $100-150 under current retail that a refurbishment is not needed. Stick with online dealers that also sell new product. Short of a personal deal with someone with a confirmed chain of possession, best way to avoid a counterfeit.

Not common but does happen. A buddy of mine found a used SC in a Goodwill Industries Store and Donation Center for less than $10. I alway check their golf clubs when I am near one. You never know. If you are looking to find one on line they are not going to be cheap. Guess all depends on what you mean by cheap. They are in high demand and along with that, even used, demand a premium price. Believe it is $175 for a restoration of a SC putter. In some instances, might as well buy a new one. Finding a used one for $200 is like finding the holly grail.

I live in southern California. I have been lucky and found 4 used SC in A Roger Dunn store close to where i live. Got one for wgat i think is a good price. I hope this helps

I agree with the above couple of posts. I have purchased form 2nd Swing and have always been impressed with the condition of their used equipment.

There's a local store here that has quite a few vs stores like the PGA SS. The store is part of World Wide Golf which is called Uinta here in Utah and in Texas it's called Edwin Watts. There's a location close to you in FTW.
