Rattanon Wannasricahn Captures First Asian Tour Win

'I am very happy to win my first Asian Tour title at my own National Open! I played solid again today and just focused shot by shot. Nothing different from the last three rounds. I waited five years for this win. I am really proud of myself. I finally proved that I can do it.' said Rattanon Wannasricahn following his win.

Playing the New Pro V1x, Wannasricahn captured the Thailand Open for his first career win on the Asian Tour since turning professional 5 years ago. The 21-year old, held the lead from the start following an opening 62, and closed in style with a 4-under par 67, to finish at 21-under par (263 victory total). He becomes only the fourth Thai player to win its national open since it started in 1965.

Wannasricahn finished two shots clear of Shiv Kapur (New Pro V1x), who closed with an 8-under par 63, and Titleist Brand Ambassador Gaganjeet Bhullar (New Pro V1x, 917 D2 Driver, 816H Hybrids, 716 AP2 Irons, Vokey Design SM6 Wedges and a Scotty Cameron Roundback putter) at 19-under par 265.
