  1. Hi all, long time follower first time poster. Winter has fully set in over here in the UK and I was just after a recommendation on a ball change. I'm a 6 index (high speed, 115mph on course CHS) and usually play Pro V1. Last couple of rounds, with soft greens and playing off mats, I've found I'm generating way too much spin with wedges and short irons. I know, I know, I should be able to take the spin off, club up and not hit it as hard etc; but I'm not massively comfortable doing that. Does anyone have a recommendation for a lower spinning ball that doesn't feel terrible off putter and wedges? TIA

Hi Andy, I’d say depending on the course type and quality of green there might be a few options.
Most say don’t change the ball at all but if you really want to I’m now using the Tru feel. Nice and soft off the face of wedges and putter but our greens are quite soft. You might try Tour Soft as well.
Let us know what you pick and how you get on.

The AVX could cut down on your spin. As far as a winter ball, think most of us play the same ball the year round.
  4. I usually play prov1x ,but my last 3 rounds have been in cold (under 40 degrees and wind) and I played an AVX loved the lower ball flight and a little bit more release on the greens
