Yes, Tour Soft is my ball now, especially during the hot months. Might go back to prov1 in the winter. Ill take the forgiveness over the distance in the heat when distance is less of an issue.

Looking to switch for a better flight. Driver swing speed was SIM'd at 97mph and ball tends to float. Currently play the ProV1 because it's the BEST but maybe not the BEST for me? Any suggestions what to look for? Or is using the best ball out there simply the best for ALL swings?

I think I've finally found my ball. I've played the Velocity, then the TruFeel, and lately the Tour Soft. I have to say, I'm really loving the Tour Soft. So far, it's the one that fits my game the best.

Experts say that the color does not affect the distance of the Provs. Was on Lock Ness last week when we were in Scotland and some say Nessy was spotted on June 23rd. Just saying. Have a right to believe what one chooses to believe.

Has anyone notice the newer models don’t hold their white color very long? I play the x and after 14 or 15 holes, the ball starts losing the white color and looks dirty, but it’s not dirty. I clean them on every green so I get a true roll. I played in a tourney this weekend and the ball I used on Saturday lost its luster and same with the new ball I used on Sunday.

Very interesting stuff.
I often play the yellow versions because they seem to hold on to their luster longer.
Also they seem to wear better over time than the white balls.
Some might say that the yellow Pro V's actually are longer off the tee vs. standard white.
There is a little shimmer in the Yellow paint as well which is kinda nice.

Can somebody explain to me why Left Dash are still not available with other then 1-4 play numbers?? It's the second generation and literally all the other ProV1 are available with whatever number you want

Been gaming both balls this season and having trouble deciding between the 2. Feel like my distance off the tee was better with the TP5x but my short game spin control is better with prov1x

What makes America and Canada is choice. Any of us can play any ball we want. Pick a price point, quality, and/or performance.

BTW, how many pros play TP5 or TP5x that aren’t on a TM contract for other equipment?

Well, not all Pro-V models. Both V and X in yellow are not even an option in high (5-8) numbers, let alone custom numbers. The left dash, by some accounts, represent 10% of production. With the V and X they fill barrels by individual numbers. Getting the right number of #37 or #83 balls stamped of left dash could slow down production of all Pro-V types to run off small batches.

I’d be happy for a choice of 1-10 as a custom number if yellow or left dash. Then someone would want AVX in custom numbers and they have a different production (and process) in Ball Plant #2.

It may be Brad Kennedy’s ball. He plays on the Japan Golf Tour.

The Pro V1X + is tour-only ball that gives players the high flight and trajectory of the Pro V1x, but with a much softer feel and noticeably higher spin rates, particularly with irons and wedges.

Does anyone have any information regarding this ball? My first time seeing one and I’ve done some research and from what I could find they’re a tour ball but I was curious as to what the printing on the other side is (possibly a name). I tried Google translate and it translated to “Kennedy”. Any information regarding would be great!!

I have played almost nothing but Titleist golf balls for 40 years I have found the mother-load ball for me The Prov1x left dash has made a very significant improvement in my game Thank You Titleist for your best on the planet equipment

I lost a box of prov1’s last round i played been taking lessons and my swing got torn down to the barebones , having a horrible year . I picked up last seasons tp5x for $40 (Canadian) i don’t get nearly as mad loosing those. It mostly comes down to personal performance really and what works best for you; i love the ProV1 feel so once i get back to my regular game I’ll be back in those

The TP5 would be a better match to the prov1x is it’s more spinny then the tp5

I purchased a few boxes of the aim enhance and they are very helpful. I have tried other balls but the small single line makes it nice and easy to focus

i just received my 4 boxes of the ProV1 AIM Enhanced golf balls. these balls are better than i thought they would be. alot better than having to draw a line on every ball. Great job Titleist.

I recently tried the Pro V1 and Tour Soft as alternatives to the AVX (felt it flew too low and was losing too much distance on approach shots). Worked with one of the Pro's at my course and found the Pro V and the Tour Soft had similar spin and distance (1 yard and less the 40 RPM) . With that said went with the Tour Soft for cost. Ultimately, I would say try a few and play the one that feels right and gives you the most confidence. They are all great options.

If you are looking for something similar to a TM Tour Response, you could take a look at the Titleist Tour Soft. I'm not real sure about other manufacturers.

I currently play the TM Tour Response (sometimes TP5x), but considering switching. I'm about a 13 handicap with swing speeds around 80 for a 7-iron and around 100 for Driver. I want low spin on the driver and longer irons, but some decent spin with wedges. I generally like a softer feel when possible, but never a deal breaker if firmer and fitting the other parameters. Any suggestions from experience with the Titleist products would be appreciated!
