I have a set of the 714 AP2s. I have been researching online and was curious how this would work with a forged set of irons. It comes with replaceable brush heads and it clips to your bag with a retractable lanyard. I cringe at seeing folks having those stainless steel or brass bristled brushes on their bags that can scratch your clubs, especially forged. Lately I've resorted to using what I think is either a finger cleaning brush or maybe a denture brush, that I found at the grocery store, soft bristle, about 3" long and is use it to clean the club after each shot and when they need a good cleaning at home every so often with just dish soap in water. In, out, scrub, dry, back in the bag.

RE: Bar Keepers Friend for Cleaning Clubs

thanks for pointing that out don, good to know!

RE: Bar Keepers Friend for Cleaning Clubs

Found this on the Titleist website

Cleaning and Care for Titleist Golf Clubs

Titleist drivers, fairways, hybrids, irons and wedges can be cleaned with mild soap and water and then dried with a soft cotton cloth. We recommend your clubs and headcover be completely dry before storage. Storing clubs in wet headcovers can lead to rust and corrosion and may not be covered by the warranty.

RE: Bar Keepers Friend for Cleaning Clubs
Zak R said:

is there a specific reason why? ive never needed anything more than letting my irons soak in some dish soap and warm water and a toothbrush to get them clean as new.

Agree. Keep it simple and it does not ruin you clubs. Those cleaners are what keep manufacturers in business. With respect to the first comment. Keep a damp towel on your bag when you are playing and wipe you clubs down when you are finished.
Titleist has recommended to not soak any of the AP/T heads at all as water can seep into the enclosed areas and damage the heads. Even solid heads like MBs/Vokey wedges should not be soaked as deep as the hosel for the same moisture damage reason. An old toothbrush at the most for the groves, otherwise a dampened cloth will do just fine.

RE: Bar Keepers Friend for Cleaning Clubs

Just warm water and perhaps a little soap and a soft bristle brush and good soft golf towel.

RE: Bar Keepers Friend for Cleaning Clubs

A little windex and a nail brush does the trick for me.
