I have tried many different grips & sizes, I just couldn't get comfortable with the feel of the Midsize grip.

I settled on playing the Golfpride MCC grip with (+2 wraps) 3 wraps of two sided grip tape to split the difference between the standard & midsize grip. The main thing on the install is to use enough solvent to easily push them on, without stretching the grip.

I had a standard grip on my last driver. Currently have a midsized on my driver but trying to decide if I want mcc 4 jumbo or jumbo max medium grip when I have it redone.

Like most of us speaking here I too am a bit of a tinkerer. Always wanted a slightly larger grip however as I’ve aged some I’ve lost hand speed. This can b a symptom of a large grip

I use golf pride MCC +, with one extra wrap. I’ve been pleased using them. The trick with any grip is keeping them clean.

I've played around with it a bit and you can definitely go down a rabbit hole. Especially if you start messing with grip size, .580 vs .600. Currently settled on a 1+1 with the standard Golf Pride Z Cord. Spent a few seasons with a midsize on the driver to help keep my grip loose. Good luck!

Hi,
I tried midsized grips and I was tearing my glove. I thought that bigger grips would eliminate tension in arms. I I realized that my left hand was not holding properly the grip.
My solution was a Golfpride Mcc plus4 installed with the 2 two sided tape in total. This kind of grip is with a bigger size for the right hand which I find comfortable.
Now, no slack and no excessive pressure and no more tearing of golf’s glove.

We will all be different I suspect but I play 1 layer double side tape with Oversized Winn grips. Just what I found works for me. Like a lot of us, I regrip my clubs and do so on most used (Driver, wedges, etc) a couple times/year.

I've migrated from standard size grips, to STD plus 2 extra wraps, to Golf Pride +4 STD and now play GP Tour Velvet Midsize. What made the journey easier was learning how to install grips at the house. The idea of paying every time I wanted to try something different felt expensive and unnecessary.
What I also learned along the way was I have relatively small heal pads on my hands. So I've even added a 1" piece of tape at the very end of the club to build it up more (similar thinking to the butt end of a baseball bat - just not as big).
The combo of midsize grips and this extra build up have allowed me to soften my grip without the fear of the club slipping out of my hands. Getting them in and out of the bag with larger grips... well, that's another story.

I have large hands and play the GolfPride MC +4. Kinda feels natural. Have been playing them for a number of years. Worth considering.

I have not heard of larger grips creating less hand pressure as much as they minimize wrist flip. For me, the key to keeping a loose grip on the club is to make sure the grips remain tacky. Constant cleaning and occasional wire brush works for me, along with changing them out yearly.

I recently tried the jumbo max grips in size small. Still a great deal bigger compared to a standard grip. I couldn’t believe how nice it felt and it made the standard grip feel odd when I went back. Stopped me turning the ball over and only really had a one way miss which was over cutting it. There is certainly something in it
