Down here in Florida I use the Tour Performance hats. They seem to keep me cool, and they are very easy to wash. I can't play with a full brim so the use of sunscreen on the neck and ears is vital.

I found a breezer bucket hat down here in the Lower 48 and I really like it. The material is very light and it washes out real well after a sweaty round of golf. The only modification I would suggest would be to add a more ridged brim. If they had a thin plastic underlay around the brim, the hat would not look so unstructured and the brim would not droop down in the front. With the thin, soft brim it looks and functions more like a military "boonie" hat. You might can find one on-line and have it shipped to you there in Canada.

I'm not a fan of the bucket hats, found it hard to find a lightweight baseball style hat. I tried 3 different Titleist hats recently.

Best IMO is the Titleist Sta-Dry hat.

Fitted, lightweight. Logo is more like an iron-on material - I wear this one exclusively in hot weather.

I am a big fan of the Titleist Aussie hat.
Works well in the hot Ontario summers.

Looked at it. I wear a size 8, big head. Surprised. =) Think it would adjust to a XXL which I wear in Tour Performance hats. I love the Aussie hats and they work ok.

Just got the Breezer Bucket. I like it much better than the Aussie even though the brim is still slightly longer than I had hoped. Very light weight and easy to clean with the polyester material instead of the heavy cotton of the original bucket hats.

I have the same issue here in Texas, I've been reluctant to pull the trigger on the Aussie hat. Just ordered the Tour Stretch Tech and it looks promising...

I think we will see more of the "breezer" options in the 2022 hat line up. There might even be a breezer bucket coming out. That possibility is exciting because I too, am not as fond of the wide brim aussie hat but the cotton bucket hats are a bit heavy, hot, and get sweat stained quickly.

I tried the Aussie hat but found that the shadow disturbed me. I'm sure it would take some getting used to but I had to take it off for the round.

I normally find any of the 'performance' hats work well, always white to reflect rather than attract. I actually tried one with mesh on the back and that was a nice treat with the breeze.

Living in S Carolina, getting the correct protection in the hot months is a must. I have worn the Aussie hat for years. I have five of those hats and find them to be comfortable and to provide more than adequate protection from the not sun. When the heat index can reach 110* during our peak months June/July/August shade becomes a premium and this is the answer plus lots of water. I wear not caps during this time and a visor is the last thing I would want to wear because of the exposure of the crown of the head to the direct sun. When the fall gets here and the temperature drop into high 70s and lower I will go to a cap maybe a visor. I usually wear a visor under/over my winter pom pom hat/beanie to protect my eyes from the sun glare, even though I wear transitional glasses. I also visit my dermatologist once a year and have for many years, so far no issues wearing my Aussie hats and being out in the hot suns three days a week.

I am a big fan of the Titleist Aussie hat. Especially in the Texas summers! It provides good protection, especially around the ears which I sometimes forget to put sunscreen on.

I was reluctant to go to a sun hat because I thought I would notice it too much while wearing. I have worn the Tour Aussie hat a few times now and I really like it.

It is no more noticeable than the baseball style hats I have always worn. You see a little bit of the brim but not anything more than like the bill on a baseball cap.

It's really light and I find that I sweat less with it than a baseball cap. There is a little more room under the top of the hat than with a baseball cap which I think keeps me a little cooler.

I still put sunscreen on my face and neck even though they are covered, but I don't have to reapply during the round.

I have not worn it in really windy conditions yet. It may be more noticeable then buy I don't know for sure.

The Tour Aussie will be my go to hat for the summer months. I have the white one . I don't see any washing instructions but I assume hand washing is the way to go.

I am a big fan of the Aussie hats and have five of them. Got to have a few colors to wear with my FJ apparel. I find them comfortable and keep the sun of my facial areas. Living along the southern coastal area of S Carolina it gets hot and humid and the hats are perfect. Only hot I wear during the summer months. I wear that hat and drink lots and lots of water.......at 75 want to stay healthy, playing three days a week.....

I am the same way and have the same problem, especially living and playing in Florida. I have been using the Titleist Tour Sports Mesh hats lately and they work great for sweat/hot weather. Hope this helps at all!

I'm a big fan of the Aussie and bucket hat (I have both). I'm guessing the Aussie style hat would fall into the "full sun hat" category. The bucket hat provides good coverage without the wide brim. The only issue I see is the bucket hat looks to be made of primarily cotton which tends to not "breath" as well; it will absorb sweat which can give a cooling feeling. Plus, the bucket hat has the proprietary Titleist sweat band for more sweat absorption.

Something with mesh and in a light color..... Nothing wrong with the aussie or bucket hats!!
