First Recorded Hole-in-One on The Lido's Historic 8th Hole - Titleist Pro V1

Dear Titleist Team,

I wanted to share a golf memory that I will never forget and thank Titleist for being part of it.

On June 6, 2026, I made my first-ever hole-in-one while playing The Lido at Sand Valley in Wisconsin. The ace came on the 8th hole, the recreation of C.B. Macdonald’s legendary “Ocean” hole from the original Lido Golf Club in New York.

The shot was 208 yards from the white tees and played into a strong wind with a left-to-right crosswind. Knowing the conditions, I aimed at the left side of the green and hit a low cut, intending to let the wind move the ball back toward the flag. The shot performed exactly as envisioned, holding its line through the wind, landing on the green, and ultimately finding the bottom of the cup.

The golf ball was a Titleist Pro V1.

What makes the accomplishment even more special is that the Head Golf Professional at The Lido confirmed that it was the first recorded hole-in-one ever made on the 8th hole since the course opened. To make my first ace on one of the most famous and challenging par-3 designs in golf—and to be the first person ever to record a hole-in-one there—is something I still have a hard time believing.

The moment was made even more meaningful because I was playing alongside my father, allowing us to share an unforgettable experience together on a truly historic hole.

I’ve played golf for many years and have enjoyed countless memorable rounds, but nothing compares to this. A 208-yard shot into the wind, on a hole inspired by one of the most iconic par 3s in golf history, with a Pro V1 in play, is a story I’ll be telling for the rest of my life.

Hole in one

Went out to the golf course with my brother and dad just wanting to play 9 but decided to play 18 cause we were having fun and on the 12th hole, I hit my 8 iron, a little pull cut to a middle pin and landed about a foot past and spun right in the hole. My family and I were all jumping up and down. My dad and brother got to see my first one but something cool was, a long time ago, I got to watch my dads first hole in one so it was a pretty surreal memory that I will cherish the rest of my life and with a bag tag from you guys, I’ll always have it on my bag and remember that exactly moment of my golf career.

I had just purchased some black T100s and went to Fields ferry and on hole 12 195yards I hit a 5 iron using a prov1 #17 with a clover and indeed was good luck. 3 months later I hit my second hole in one at Dalton golf and country club #9 129yards using a 9 iron which I felt come off the bottom groove. I didn’t think it was a good shot until it one hopped into the hole.

1st Hole in One .

I hit my first hole in one last Friday at Vestavia Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. It happened on hole 13 , a 210 yd par 3 . The pin was slightly elevated in the lower left hand corner of the green. I hit a ProV1x with my T150 6 iron to the front lip of the green and it rolled right in. A moment I’ll remember forever !

First Ace! Annual Family Golf Round

Got my first Ace! Lasered at 134 yards, back pin on tricky green. Hit with Vokey SM9 50 degree wedge. Landed 10 feet left and trickled in. Always thought I would react differently but was in complete shock. Annual golf round with family. Father in law, Brother in law and nephew(just getting into golf). A day I will soon not forget!

October 12th, 2025. Playing Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas on a windy day with my golf bro and some random single. We got to the 4th hole and the wind was whipping left to right at about 22mph. I told the guys i was going to try and let the wind push me back towards the pin and hit it to the left side about 4 yards off the green and hope the slope ofnthe green would help it roll towards the front pin. With the pin towards the front of the green i figured i had enough club to the 153 yard pin location. Using my AP2 - 8 iron i hit the ball on the line i wanted but the wind did almost nothing to the ball and i landed on the hill to the left of the green. It instantly jumped towards the hole and what seemed like forever and my lack of long distance vision the guys got excited to which i asked did that go in or stop in line behind the pin? I probably was a little underwhelmed that my shot didnt do what i was thinking and thus i didnt react like someone just got their first hole in one. We drove up to thenhole and sure enough it was in there. The other hilarious thing was me and my golf bro left our phones in the car by accident and we had to have the random single take the picture for us. I used one of my custom number "23" titleist pro v1 ball to achieve the feat. Glad. I can mark that off my to do list!

First Hole In One

I took my 7 iron for a standard shot. I hit it a bit chunky and a bit off the toe to the left and the ball hit the fringe about 3 feet from the green. It took a couple of bounces, started to roll along the slope to the right, and went in the cup! I was 50/50 standing on the tee box whether it went in, but driving up to the green, there was no doubt it went in

Crazy hole

The 9th hole goes over the road and onto a hill and my ball didn’t touch the green and I’m only 15 I didn’t know until I went up to the hole I was so happy and confused because I felt like I had the club face open with a 56‘ lol love golf guys stay in in it don’t quit yall gonna see me on tour soon.

Hole nine Ashwood golf course. 135 yard pitching wedge into the hole grabbed a brand new pro V one on this hole. It’s the only time this Proview one has been hit. It was with my girlfriend and her family.

I was on a local course with friends. The 7th hole has a complex green with 2 levels. Pin was lower level front at 119, so I set up to fade a 130-yard shot into a backstop separating the upper and lower levels of the green. The idea was for the ball to spin off the slope back to the hole, etc. When I hit the shot it rode up the club face so if felt like it would be short, but I thought it had a chance to hit the green. And I knew it was on line. It just ballooned up is all. That's what I thought. I didn't actually see the ball because it wasn't my normal flight. But I expected it to come down just a beat or two later than normal. And then "thoop", "tick". It landed 6 inches past the hole slightly left with a little backspin and bounced right into the hole. What fun. That green is close to the 1st hole and the 8th tee and a water cooler, so a number of groups hear the roar and shared in the celebration.

I was playing with same couple I play with on every Sunday. I had just taken an eight on the previous par 5 hole and was thinking about stopping my round, it wasn't going well. Against my better judgment I decided to continue with my round. i walked up to the tee box with not much thought caring what I hit. Needless to say, after hitting my tee shot, I was able to watch the ball flight all the way, and I'll be damn the ball ended up in the hole.! I stood there in awe for a split-second til it sunk in that I just got a hole in one, I'm still amazed,

Pocono Manor - Hole 13 - 190 yds Par 3

6/7/26 something amazing happened! While on a bachelor golf trip with my buddies from college I was able to accomplish something truly amazing. Yesterday on hole 13 at Pocono Manor in Mount Pocono PA. I made a hole in 1. 190-yard par 3 uphill wind in the face I teed up my ball and clubbed up with my 4 hybrid and let one rip. One of the purest shots I have ever hit in my life. The two other guys in the group were just as shocked as I was. After it landed, I wasn't sure if it rolled off the back of the green or not based off the tee shot but we drove up to the green to see if we could find it. While pulling up there was no ball in site. I looked around the entire green and saw nothing. I was in shock. My buddy told me, "You should probably check the cup". As I started walking towards the cup my stomach dropped, goose bumps formed, and there it was sitting beautifully in the hole. I couldn't believe it. Truly one of the most magical days of my life.

Quelle journée incroyable à partager le terrain de golf avec mon frère aîné. Sur le trou #15 du Pinegrove Country club, je m'élance sur un par 3 de 130 verges avec mon fer 7 en main pour entendre le commentaire de mon frère ''Ouff tu vas l'aimer celle-là''. Très peu de temps après on criait de joie et on se serrait dans nos bras en voyant que la balle avait tombé dans la cup. Je n'oublierai jamais ce premier trou d'un coup avec ma balle Titleist ProV1.

I got my first hole in one at my local course during a Tuesday night scramble league. My partner and I were playing terrible golf up until this moment. We had just doubled a par 5 before we arrived at the par 3. The pin was 225 playing 215 so I selected a 4 iron and put a great swing on the ball. The ball never left the pin the entire time and I heard it the green but didn’t see it go in. My partner instantly starts freaking out that it went in the hole but I didn’t believe until we got up to the green and the divot was 10” behind the hole. Reality finally set in when I seen ball in the bottom of the cup and we both were freaking out. The momentum also shifted in our favor after that as we’re +5 through 3 holes before this happened. After the crazy hole in one we went on to par some tough holes and get another birdie in to finish +2 for our 9 hole round. Golf is a crazy game but boy do I love it!

Homestead Golf Course , Lakewood, Colorado, hole #6. 9 iron from 145 yards. Never even saw it go in. All three playing partners saw it. Did not need to see it go in, just needed to see it in the hole. Titleist AVX. Great ball.

While playing in the Massachusetts Coalition of Taft-Hartley Plans Spring Golf Outing, I stepped up to the 11th hole on the Port Course at Captain’s—a 182-yard par 3 that demands both focus and a little bit of faith. The wind was calm, the pin was inviting, and I pulled my png i230 5-iron, committing fully to the shot.

The swing felt pure the moment the club met the ball. It launched on a perfect line, cutting through the air as if it had somewhere important to be. We all watched as it descended toward the green, took one clean, confident hop—and then disappeared.

For a split second, there was silence. Then it hit us. Hole. In. One.

An ace—clean, true, and unforgettable. The kind of moment that reminds you exactly why you love the game.

I hit my first hole in one I got the absolute best bounce you could get for it to go in. I am 15 I haven’t even been playing for a full year yet I also shot my best on 9 and 18. I have went from shooting low 60s on 9 to now I am shooting high 30s to low 40s now. And I shot a 39 on 9 with my hole in one.
