I currently game the Triple Black LN!! I was able to acquire 2 of them is the reason. It feels, looks and plays very comparable to my 7.5! It’s hard to make the decision to game a limited release in my opinion and just falls into the “what is your plan-collect or play them” mindset.

I use a 2021 Champions Choice as my daily gamer and also have 4-5 other limited edition putters just for show right now. Nothing feels better than a putter you love to put with. I haven’t seen too many of the limited editions to increase in value that much. Good luck.

If I bought it to use (not to collect), then it is in the bag with a generic head cover. I'd really be upset if it gets 'removed' from my bag due to someone noticing the headcover and wanting to have something special!

Wow...all really great posts, I appreciate them! I put the LE B3 NP2 LN in the bag for a company golf tournament (scramble) to try it out and it was really smooth, I mean REALLY smooth. I have never owned or used a long neck blade style before, so it took some getting used to but I'm glad I did. If it settles in nicely it may stay in the bag for a while, and I'll have a bullpen with a couple of other SC options if needed.

Ha, I'm in that stage right now in general where it's hard to walk by my bag at home and NOT pull the putter and carpet roll a few before I continue on.

i have a few Scotty's but I am currently using a limited edition Bettinardi long neck. I was not lucky enough to get one of the triple black long necks, but i was i would definitely be gaming it.

I use all of the Scotty's that I have acquired over the years.

Several years ago my wife and I were at Scotty's studio store in Encinitas and was able to meet and talk with him for several minutes.

He saw that I was buying a putter from the studio and asked me what I was planning on doing with it. I told him I was going to put it in my bag that afternoon. He smiled and said (paraphrasing) "Good, I make them to be used"

It depends on your ultimate goal: collecting or gaming. I prefer the gaming route...almost all my putters except for a couple of one of one's are gamed. These one of one's are worth thousands each or hold some unique value to my memories of how I acquired them. For instance, I have a putter that Scotty Cameron signed for me at the SC Pins and Playtime Invitational years ago...that is going on the wall for viewing.

Any putter that is less than $5,000 I prefer to game...period, you bought it so use it. The price appreciation of putters gong forward in terms of what value they may bring on the open market are on very unique or extremely low production putters (fewer than 100 made for instance).

A $750 just isnt worth putting on a wall unless that is what you want to do with your collection.

I have Jet Set and the Santa Fe B3 and game both of them! This way if one doesn’t behave he will go in bull pen! LOL

I buy limited release putters to play and not to collect. Sometimes they increase in value but not always. Golf clubs are to be played.

If I was buying it as a collector's item, hoping it would gain value to sell in the future, I would not game it. I can't imagine buying a putter for that purpose. In most cases, it would have to be extremely rare or I'd have to hold onto it for a considerable amount of time.

I game a 2021 Champions Choice, I actually just got it back from the Custom Shop as well. Love it. I also just got a B3 Triple Black NP2 and will put that in the bag at some point too. I am really looking for my grail though, a carbon 009M or some kind of Masterful in Tour Black, and once I find it, I will also game that.

I have 3 Cameron putters.Two of them are prototypes.I use them all. If I feel I need a change, I'll take the gamer out and put one of the prototypes in.

Don't be afraid to use it.

Let's put it this way, I have 4 "limited release" items, they're all worth less on the market than I paid for them. If you bought it as a collectible, then keep it in the box, in the plastic.

To me, it would come down to if you were a collector and just want to display a piece or if you planned on reselling. Personally, I have a couple limited edition holiday putters from Scotty and game them both as well as my Champion Choice. I don't ever plan on parting wiht these so I game them and customize them every one in a while with diffrent paint fills.

I dont see why you wouldn't want to use it. Obviously for collecting purposes, but I just think if you like the putter, give it a try!
