Two day member/member this past weekend, my partner and I were in the mix after a -8 in the first round, leaders were -11. We were struggling mightily as we arrived at the 9th tee so I took it upon myself to change the order. 139 yards, slight wind in our face and a pin tucked on the righthand side of the green. I hit a 9 iron (AP2 714, T100's on order) right of the pin and hoped for a good bounce - most of the green is obscured from view due to mounds in front.

One of our playing opponents arrived first to the green, only to find one ball on the surface which was his tee ball. My partner walked by the hole and found my Titelist Pro V1 with two red dots at the bottom of the cup - and chaos ensued! Moments after hitting our tee shots, the horn had gone off, our second weather delay of the round and the end of play for the day. As the field made its way back to the clubhouse, 160 guys were greeted with the good news that a free drink awaited them.

We'll finish the round on 7/11 and the great news is we are in a Super Skin pool and hopefully my HIO holds up. I made an ace on the same hole 36 years ago when I was 16, I love this game!

  2. So I’ll ask the question no one else will...can I have one?! Haha wow 3, congrats on your dead aim, blended with timing, skill, and dare I say a pinch of luck.

Great story and keep us posted on the Super Skin pool...I don't know what that means but it sounds impressive (and lucrative!!)

Super Skins pool means the skin must hold up over the two days versus just one day.

Pool last year was about $6k - fingers crossed!

This is a great story indeed.

I have never had an ace, but I have been close a couple of times.
