I've played Dubai as part of a golf holiday. We avoided Arabian Ranches as there are many more far better courses to play at. I would recommend playing these:

In Dubai:
Jumeirah Estates Earth Course (A must play course, I can't imagine many other courses in the world in better shape)
Jumeirah Estates Fire Course
Els Club
Dubai Creek
Emirates Golf Club - Majlis Course
Emirates Golf Club - Faldo Course (awesome for night golf)

In Abu Dhabi
Yas Links (A must play golf course)
Abu Dhabi Golf Club (27 holes, 9 of which can be played at night under floodlights)

RE: Golf In Dubai

Oh doesn't sound like you had the best of experiences, at Arabian Ranches.

We are staying only a few minutes form Yas Links.

I'm quite happy about the weather, being that little bit cooler, as coming from the UK anything over 10 degrees seems like SUMMER!

It's only 53 days to go, I've watched lots of videos from the course on YOUTUBE, and they look great.

RE: Golf In Dubai

Played all 3! Facilities are great and weather in April is not too hot. Arabian ranches is a poor course, I didnt like it at all and nothing beautiful about it. Not much greenery and more sand patches then anything else. The other two courses are great, especially Yas links. It looks like a proper links course imported from scotland!
