    Hello,

Looking for a few courses to play while in Florida in March. I am playing Falcons Fire and Crooked Cat at OCN. Any other must play or really good courses in the area?

    Thanks in advance for help

Play Panther Lake at OCN, it is really the better of the two courses. Magnolia at Disney is good. I like the International Course at Omni Championsgate and if you can get a tee time Championsgate Country Club is good too.

Southern Dunes and Celebration are two others to consider. I liked both better than Falcon's Fire, but I did like Falcon's Fire even so. Also, though not right there specifically in the Kissimmee area, the three wonderful Streamsong courses aren't really that far away, albeit out in the middle of nowhere.

Celebration Golf Club is a good track and close to FF.

    Shingle Creek never disappoints.

The Legends Course at Orange Lake Resort is a great track. Next to Disney.

Royal ST Cloud Links is another good one.

@Deno, We actually have a timeshare at Orange Lake and I am considering between this and Disney Magnolia course in March.... Great to hear its a nice track to play. Now just the debate on which one to play! LOL! Thanks for the recommendation.

I personally would not make the trip out to Streamsong. They are WAY overpriced, in March they will be $329 + the caddie fee. For that money, stay and play at Bayhill.

Won't be able to touch Bay Hill in March, I've tried that before, early Feb, or April. That's without an inside connection.

Orlando is always a gamble, Orange County has gone downhill, Southern Dunes has even lost a touch of consistently great conditions. All the TT critics have their favorites, I always hear good things about Royal St Cloud and Celebration. I do know The Ritz-Carlton and Grand Cypress are always top notch, as is Champion's Gate!

All the above are great courses to play and coming in March you are getting right at the end of the season down here. You also have Bay Hill as well.

I've done Shingle and Falcon's Fire, but my preference still is Celebration. Orange County National just to see how big the friggin' range is!

I just returned from a package trip to Mission Inn Resort... two courses, Las Colinas (nice) and El Campeon (great)
Price was reasonable ($439 for 3 nights/3rounds, free breakfast each day), weather was fantastic (85-90 degrees) and the resort food was good. We also left the resort to eat at The Hideaway and Boondog's, both nearby and excellent food.

Lots of great tracks in the area! OCN Panther Lake is fun, Providence Golf Club is in great condition recently, Chapionsgate Golf Club has two great courses and I've also heard decent things about Stonegate. Look around for some good rates and I'm sure you will enjoy any round down here!
