I see you played several of the Westchester munis, I would recommend Mohansic, it is a bit farther north but more of a challenge.

Played many rounds there years ago. Loved it. I liked just over the NY border in NJ. One of my all time favs!

I lived in Westchester County most of my life until I retired 14 years ago. Is Knollwood now open to the public? I always knew it as a private club.

Played Black a lot growing up, still don't see the big deal. It's long for sure, but there's so many better courses in that area.

Don’t overlook Bethpage Red. If Black didn’t exist Red would get a lot more praise.

People don't have any idea how many great courses are in that NY area. Having grown up at a private club in Westchester, even I hadn't seen the majority of them. Too bad it's such a short season.

a friend always mentioned Spook Rock over near Westchester area. I haven't played there, but they have hosted NY metro events

In Mt. Sinai on Long Island, Willow Creek Golf and CC is a very nice course with friendly staff. Usually not very difficult to get a tee time.

No shortage near Bethpage. Oyster Bay has a couple, Eisenhower Park has 3, and Ferry Point is public. What type are you looking for? On a business trip Bethpage was booked but I was able to get on at Eisenhower. Needed an early time on a Saturday morning to catch a later flight from LaGuardia.

Just played Links at Ferry Point. Course is in great shape, and the fescue is incredibly penal if you don’t keep it in the fairways. It is a little pricier compared to the bethpage courses.
