We were playing in our monthly "Mixed Foursome" on the 5th of December. A front blew in early that morning, dropping temperatures quickly. Most of the group quit, but a few brave souls decided to have our own competition, getting around the course the fastest (and into the 19th hole!).

This was originally scheduled to be a scramble, so we stuck to the format. In order to speed things along, we decided that if one of the foursome got a good drive off, we would forgo further shots and just play from that one.

When we came to the downhill par 3 Fourth, the other man hit a great shot to the green, within Birdie distance to the hole. I said, "good enough", but then he said (if I am lying, I'm dying), "Go ahead and hit, you might get a hole in one"....and I did. BTW, we did not get around the fastest, but the good news was, there were few folks there who I had to buy drinks for!
