Golfaholism is definitely an incurable disease and should be accepted as law and medical fact

Playing Hole Chevy Chase country club yesterday and was feeling good. Hitting the ball solid and just unable to capitalize. Had (2) 3 putt pars on the front. It is early in the season here in Chicago, and the flat iron hasn't shown up yet. We come to the 9th Hole which is a long Par 3 over water to an elevated green. Just a buddy and I were there. He hit his tee shot in the front green side bunker. I stepped up to the tee with a 6 iron. I remember looking at the grooves of my club and seeing a couple blades of grass and wondering how much could that actually affect the ball flight. I stood over the ball and thought just swing easy and let technology do the work. The whole flight it was just tracking and I said that looks good. One tiny hop and about 3 inches of roll and it was in. We erupted with excitement. I threw the club up in the air and ran around like a maniac. After about 5 minutes of heavy breathing, laughing, and maybe some crying my buddy says great shot but I think you threw your club in the water. Turns out I must have. no where to be found. Went swimming in early April in Chicago for it but came up empty. The ace was well worth it. I suppose I could afford it since the course was empty and I only had to spend $20.00 on the bar tab. What a game. I am 100% addicted and can't wait to get back out there.
Ball was a Titleist Prov1x #3 and the club was a MP 32 6 Iron. If anyone reads this and has an extra iron laying around would love some help.
