It was a warm Saturday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky at Woodhaven Country Club. It was on May 5th, 2012, which was the day of the Kentucky Derby so everyone was filled with that derby spirit. We got up to the 3rd hole, which was a par 3 only 131 yards. I put my Kentcuky Wildcats tee into the ground with the Titleist Pro V1 sitting perfectly faced. I decided that since it was fairly windy that day, I would use a stronger club. So I pulled out my 8 iron, took a few practice swings, and ripped it perfect in the air. I thought it was going to roll off the green to the back into the water, but it had just enough backspin to roll it in the cup. I saw the ball drop and I was going crazy. It honestly was the best feeling in the world! I was in so much shock that I kept questioning if it went in. What a day it was!
