Anderson and de Jager Win with Titleist Tee-To-Green

Trust in Titleist golf balls and golf club equipment was rewarded once again this week across the worldwide professional golf tours, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors Mark Anderson and Louis de Jager added two more victories to Titleist's 2019 win total. Both Anderson and de Jager relied on a Pro V1 golf ball, a TS driver and Titleist clubs tee-to-green in their victories on the Web.com and South African Sunshine Tours, respectively.

Thus far in the young 2019 season, players trusting their games to a Titleist golf ball have now collected 14 wins across the worldwide professional tours, nearly three times more wins than the nearest competing brand with 5 and more than all competing brands combined.

Let’s take a closer look at this past week’s Titleist tour highlights…

Bubba Watson | New 2019 Pro V1x Yellow - Waste Management Phoenix Open

Continuing to validate its across-the-board equipment success on the PGA Tour, Titleist momentum continued this week in Arizona, where Titleist was, once again, the overwhelming tee-to-green choice of more players in the field at the WM Phoenix Open. From golf balls, drivers, fairways and hybrids; to irons and wedges, Titleist topped every brand in nearly every major equipment category.

Of the 132 players competing at TPC Scottsdale, 71% (94 players) trusted a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success, nearly six times the nearest competitor with 11% (16 players). The New 2019 Pro V1x was the most played single golf ball model with 21. That was more than all the golf ball models combined for the nearest competitor (16).

Titleist was also the top choice in the driver (37), fairway metal (54), hybrid (19) and irons (37) categories. Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge category with 175 Vokey models in play.

Bubba Watson played a New 2019 Pro V1x Yellow golf ball and finished in a three-way tie for 4th. This marked the first time in the legendary 18-year history (since 2000) of the Pro V1 franchise that Yellow has been available to golfers on the PGA TOUR.

Statistically, Bubba finished 1st in Driving Distance (326), 1st in Strokes Gained Tee-to-Green (11.189), T-4 in Greens in Regulation (56/72) and T-7 in Driving Accuracy (38/56). The Yellow Pro V1 and Pro V1x were launched at the PGA Merchandise Show last week and will be available in golf shops in March.

For the fifth consecutive week, Titleist was the most played driver on the PGA Tour, and the TS3 was, once again, the most played single model with 21.

Mark Anderson | Pro V1 - Country Club de Bogota Championship

It was a Titleist Brand Ambassador 1-2 finish at the Country Club de Bogota Championship where Mark Anderson posted a 17-under-par 266 victory total, good for a four-shot win over Drew Weaver (New 2019 Pro V1x, TS3 driver, 917F2 fairway metal, 818H2 hybrid, 716 T-MB 3/718 CB 4/718 MB 5-PW irons, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron 009 putter). Both players closed with final rounds of 4-under-par 67.

Doug Ghim (Pro V1) and Tyler McCumber (Pro V1x) tied for 3rd.

The win was Anderson’s second on the Web.com Tour. His maiden victory came at the 2013 BMW Charity Pro-Am.

Anderson topped a leaderboard where 8 of the top 10 finishers relied upon a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball and 3 of the top 4 trusted a new Titleist TS driver for their success.

Titleist golf ball players have now won each of the top three events to start the Web.com Tour season. Anderson follows Marty Dou and Rafael Campos into the 2019 Web.com Tour Winners’ Circle.

Titleist was the top choice of players in the field of 156 in golf balls, drivers, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters, and just two shy of the leader in fairway metals.

According to Darrell Survey, 104 players in the field of 156 teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x at the Country Club de Bogota Championship. That's more than six times the nearest competitor with 17.

Titleist was also the top choice in the driver (47), hybrid (23) and irons (55) categories. Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge category with 222 Vokey models in play.

Louis de Jager | New 2019 Pro V1 - Diamond Resort Tournament of Champions

Titleist Brand Ambassador Louis de Jager earned his fifth career Sunshine Tour title (and the second of the 2018-19 season) with a par on the first hole of a sudden death playoff.

De Jager, who also won the Sibaya Challenge in October, relied upon both the New 2019 Pro V1 golf ball and TS2 driver this week in Johannesburg.

He and Trevor Fisher Jr. each finished regulation at 12-under and had to wait out a storm for nearly two hours before they could play their second shots on the playoff hole.

De Jager topped a leaderboard on which each of the top five finishers played a Pro V1 or Pro V1x for his success.

Among the field of 154 players, Titleist accounted for 121 golf balls (79%), more than five times the nearest competitor with 23.
