Saksansin and Joo round out 5-win week for Titleist golf ball players


Titleist golf ball loyalists captured five wins across the globe this week, led by Titleist golf ball loyalist Tyrrell Hatton (Pro V1x), who claimed his first European Tour title at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

On the LPGA Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Ha Na Jang (Pro V1) entered the winner's circle for the third time this season, prevailing at the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship.

And Titleist Brand Ambassador Jay Haas trusted a Pro V1 golf ball and a full complement of Titleist club equipment to win in playoff fashion at the Toshiba Classic.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the other worldwide wins by Titleist golf ball players this week...

Titleist golf ball loyalist Poom Saksansin (Pro V1x) of Thailand won the BNI Indonesian Masters for his first career crown on the Asian Tour.

The 23-year old started the final round with a two-shot lead and closed out his first win with a 5-under-par 67 en route to an 18-under-par 270 total.

Saksansin finished five shots clear of fellow countrymen and Titleist golf ball loyalists Phachara Khongwatmai (Pro V1x) and Suradit Yongcharoenchai (Pro V1x), both of whom are just 17 years old, and Titleist Brand Ambassador Masahiro Kawamura (Pro V1).

Seven of the 11 players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success, including each of the top five.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS:

 Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 101 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19.

Titleist golf ball loyalist HeungChol Joo (Pro V1x) fired a final round 5-under-par 66 en route to a 271 victory total at the Hyundai Insurance KJ Choi Invitational.

It marked the second career KPGA Tour title for Joo, who finished one shot clear of two players, including fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist DoYeob Mun (Pro V1).

Overnight leader JinJae Byun (Pro V1x) closed with a 1-over-par 72 to finish three shots behind the champion in a share for fifth place with fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist GiHo Jung (Pro V1x).

Ten of the 12 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS:

 Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the event with 93 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with nine.

Joo’s win was the ninth by Titleist golf ball players through the first 10 events on the 2016 KPGA Tour.
