How can I improve my short game?

Do the 712 CB irons hit the ball high?  I am a high ball hitter and would like a little more forgiveness than the 712 MBs.  However, I would like a more penetrating trajectory.

i am curious about swing weights as they pertain to iron sets. for tour players that  play their titleist irons at standard length, what is the average swing weight excluding out of the ordinary preferences.
