The only way to know is go to a Golf Pro and hit both. Hybrids have a iron type swing versus a fairway wood. I hit both years ago and the hybrid had more forgiveness and fit my steep swing way better than the 5W.

I did with the 2019 release. The steeper angle of descent also helps hold greens. I also like the firmer feel. The feedback of a solid hit is unmistakable.
