    There are variables to the situation, but generally speaking, no, a 16* 2 iron will not go as far as a well-struck, 16* 3 wood. The added shaft length alone will make a big difference, as will the designs of the heads, not to mention the ability and swing…

    During League on 8-4-22 on Hole Number 12, I hit my 9 iron from 98 yards, it took 1 bounce then started slowly turning towards the hole and disappeared into the cup for my FIRST hole in one. Only took 30 years of golfing to get one - finally!!!
