    I've had shafts from different brands do the same thing. granted i don't do as good of job of cleaning them after i golf. I use 4 ot steel wool to get the surface cleaned up. it doesn't get all of it, but they look better.

    if there is no epoxy holding the ferrule in place you may be able to twist it or push it back down to the hosel. it must have been overlooked because it likely shouldn't have left the factory that way.
