I was fortunate to be able to play both Cabot courses last week. Two amazing tracks! It is nice that Canada can boast about having these gems. I can't say enough about how good both courses are. Put them on your bucket list and find the time to go play them.

Went there with FJ in the fall of 2015 to play Cabot Cliffs before it opened to the public in the spring of 2016. What a spectacular golf course. Well designed and views of every hole, just stunning. One of my favorite course in the world. We played the The Links course the second day and it is nice. A definite destination resort and those Canadian sunsets always make the day end on a positive note. My experience there was one that always brings back fond memories, when I hear Cabot. Nothing like watching Eagles flying down the Cliffs, me putting for a birdie on that infamous par three #16 along the coast, their local Alexander Keith's local beer served in their on site pubs, or the fresh turkey sandwiches served at the Deli across the street from the resort. Think they shot the bird that AM. Dale you have picked a great time to go. I had a caddie who was our age and he had worked on the Canadian tour for thirty years. He was my man for both days. Wish I could remember his name. He was the best. Have fun and do try the turkey sandwiches, if the deli is still there. =)
  7. I agree was this for the titleist commercial shoot when you were there? I was chosen as a player “model” to go. I also played the cliffs that trip before it was opened to the public and have back since in 2018. Incredible place long over due to get thanks to COVID. I’m on PEI so I’m about a 5 hour drive away

FootJoy was invited to come up by Global Golf Post magazine. Two FJ staffers from the corporate office and two FJ Ambassadors (myself and Todd from San Diego) attended. What a treat. We got to play golf and socialize with their staff writers for two nights and days. John Steinbreder one of their senior writers, as well as the course architecture and travel editor, gave out one of his published books about his exploits and personalized them to those in attendance. Other advertisers were invited. We saw Titleist filming that commercial as we finished our first round. It was a unique experience. It was just a coincidence that FJ and Titleist were there at the same time.

I went there for 4 days October a couple of year ago. Had 2 days of decent weather 1 day of tolerable and the last day was TOUGH. 30+mph winds, overcast skies and light rain. I would go back to CL but not at that time of the year. To save some money on the trip was not worth it to me. Hope you had better weather than I did.

Yes, we had great weather and it was a very good trip. Glad we went, even though it’s a long haul from the west coast.

Glad to see you finally got it in Dale - that was a long wait.
