Was last year the end of good fields at the Canadian Open? With the Memorial a elevated status event the week before and the US open the week after in LA and The Travelers in CT another elevated event after that. I can't see anyone in the top 15 coming to it (even Rory to defend). Unless of course they are desperate for a win.

You show a lot of sound reasoning there... One can only hppe that some will use it as a warm-up ?

My understanding is that it is hoped that after this year, because RBC is a multi event sponsor that they were unhappy so that next year the Cdn open may be elevated itself.
RBC I'm sure made it known that between that and Harbor town it wasn't cool to leave then in that bind.
It would be amazing if it was and elevated event and attracted the top field!

With the way the Canadians are playing this season my hopes are up one will finally win it.
  5. Couldn't agree more Todd. Great showing by Nick Taylor at the WM. Hung in with the best in the world for 15 holes. Gotta get him a Scotty Cameron putter though!

Unfortunately, I think you’re right that fields will get weaker…though I’m hopeful that’ll mean we have a better chance of qualifying :)

    But I know it doesn’t.

Hopefully as they adjust the season and elevated events they will recognize the significance of our historic national championship!
