     can someone tell me what kind of ball flight you will have with a shaft that is too soft?... will the head kick thru too fast causing the ball to go left or will the head lag back causing the ball to go high right? or will it just be unstable causing all kinds of things?  also, if youre playing a shaft that is too stiff for you, what kind of ball flight would you expect to have then?

    If the flex is too soft the head will lag back causing it to go right. It will also be higher ball flight. If your playing a shaft too stiff it will be a lower ball flight.

    Softer definitely goes right and contact may also be all over the face.  Too stiff reveals mostly heel shots, pull shots.

    My friend had this same problem, he is a great player with a strong swing speed. He used to have a stiff shaft on his driver and he would either sky it or miss hit it. Now he is using a x flex driver and he hits it even farther.

    Club fitting has come a long way in the past few years. My advice is to always visit a club fitting professional that uses technology like the launch monitor FlightScope.

    Everyone's swing is different, and there are so many  types of shafts that it takes an experienced professional to get you the best advice.
