After reading about the T200 polymer backplate issues, I'm considering using iron covers for the first time in 35+ years in golfing.

What are the issues? Im thinking of going for a set of T200 this off season but if there is issues Id rather wait?

Iron covers are a no for me dog. Lol

I use cover for my irons, keeps them looking new and no rust issues. If don't want use them don't, as the old saying goes "Pay your money and take your pick"

Slow play is cause by players that play slow, not whether the person using head covers or not and it is not a sign of a players ability either. I can be in the 1st comp group on a sunday at my local course and walk the 9300 yards from the 1st tee to off the 18th green in a foursome in 2hrs 30 mins if we don't run into anybody who is playing 9 holes on the back 9. Pace of play is expected to complete a comp rounds in 4 hours

In my opinion, if you don't want to play slow,
1 Start thinking about your next shot before you get to your ball, estimate distance lie trouble ahead etc, don't wait until you are over your ball until you engage in your next shot.
2 Know how far each club goes, know your shape and flight for each club,
3 Commit to your shot and hit it.
4 Pay attention to the flight of your ball to see what the wind did to it, did it land short or long by how much, so you can make a better decision over the ball, club extra or less for the next shot or next hole
5 Continue your conversation when you start to walking/driving to your ball again

I too for years have been made fun of for using iron head covers. But as many golfers here have said the cost of the irons themselves is reason enough I don’t. Understand with todays prices why you not want to protect them from damage also I spent 1300 on titleist iron not going to let them beat each other up!!and I don’t like noise either

Individual decision…..your clubs….I see people not have hated covers on putters and drivers..
