  1. Asking if anyone can help me identify if this is a counterfeit/fake set of Titleist 735.CM. I've bought this set cheap online from someone that had it in a barn for a long time, and got it sendt. When i recived them, I've noticed that the 8 iron also is a cavity iron. So I started searching all over the internet for 735.CMs with cavity back 8 iron, but could'nt fint any. The set also don't have any serialnumbers on any of the irons. I know that this is a lot of red flags, but asking out just in case I have a genuine set.

We, like you are Titleist loyalist and are willing to try to assist when we can.

Titleist 735.CM: Cavity back 2, 3 and 4 irons produce easy-up launch conditions for a high, penetrating ball flight with greater playability and forgiveness. Shallow cavity mid irons deliver the ideal blend of maneuverability and playability required to access tough pin locations. Muscle back short irons offer skilled players precise trajectory, spin and shot control into and around the greens.

Found this on the internet regarding your clubs. Also resale value on this runs around $120. They were released in 2005. You can find them on this site below on "previous models' which gives you all the specs, but not whether they are fake. I do not see any red flags based on their pictures.

If you are not satisfied with the above, I would recommend you contact Titleist customer at the following address with the same pictures:

Hard to say, but too late if you already bought them. All of the 735-CMs I've seen had a double ring engraved on the hosel and the Forged lettering is smaller. Check out the old catalog pictures (should have done before purchase).

One thing I live buy when purchasing golf clubs, I always purchased them from a titleist account, even when purchasing used clubs. Too many folks get burned off eBay. Based on Barry's point regarding the double lines on the hozel, tend to believe they may be fake. Great reference, Barry. Kudos.

I still have a set of chrome 735cm's. The forged writing does look too big and the 8 iron should be a muscle back. If I find the time I'll post a pic of a couple of the irons which I got through a Titleist rep back in 2006.
