  1. I’m 65 , playing 718 AP2’s With my 7i iron distance of 145-150. My short game is right on target . My handicap is 11!! My 6 iron is not where I like it and I have lost a touch of confidence . I play 4 , 5 hybrid and 16.5 degree 3 wood. I love my woods!! I’m thinking of going 6 hybrid over t200 or t 300!

    Thoughts ?

I have more confidence hitting a (T300) 6 iron over a hybrid from fairway bunkers. I dropped a 23 hybrid as bunkers were harder to pick or stop as quickly on greens.

If you have a distance gap, a T200 should improve distance. A T300 maybe not be a smooth transition from the AP2.

I'd keep the 6 iron in the bag.
  5. I play the 2021 T300’s and I don’t hit the 6 iron as well as I would like. So I picked up a TSi1 Hybrid which is also 26 degrees same as the 6 iron and it has really help me a lot. I also carry a 23 degree hybrid as well. I hit my 7 iron same as you 145-150 and I’m 68 yrs young.

I’ve been playing 712 AP2 6-PW, with a 27* TS hybrid. Just very recently went to 5-PW T100S. While a bit more inconsistent than I’d like, hitting 5 and 6 iron way better than I had been.

However, I pulled the 6 iron because the 27H is a lot less effort. I put a Diamana S70+ stiff and set it to A3 (29*). My other hybrid is 25* set to D3 with S70+ R. The gapping is perfect (165-155).

If they are the same loft, the hybrid should give you a higher launch which should stop more quickly on the green. Each will have it's positives and negatives. If you can, get on a launch monitor with both and see what happens. Spin rates, carry distance and reaction to mishits will all be important. Then it's up to you to decide which one fits your game and the courses that you play. For me, I could not get consistent with my 716 AP2 5 iron so I went to an 818 H1 hybrid. Both 27*. I now have (almost) full confidence that I can hit the shot I need. In time, I may try the 5 iron again but for now it's the hybrid. Hope you find what you need.
