Just purchased a 4-iron U505. Are Utility irons effect out of the rough or are they more useful in fairway and off the tee? Thanks S. Wilkerson

    The answer is -maybe-
It's a great club and you should try it out in different lies for yourself.
For me I have better success with a utility out of the rough, but really like hitting off the fairways and occasionally off the tee. Sometimes I'll play nine without my driver and 3 wood just to see what my capabilities are with just a hybrid, utility, and irons. The hybrid works great off the tee and off the fairway, but the utility wins out from the rough.
That's just my opinion, and for what it's worth, all my golf buddies tell me they don't want my opinion.
  3. I have a U505 3i, primarily use it off the tee or a super smooth fairway. I’ve not had much luck with it in the rough, which is probably operator error. Honestly I find my TSR2 hybrid a better all around club.
