Just moved to Florida from Illinois early this year. Previously was a member of a small 9-Hole private course. I've noticed now that I do not have a "home club" this year, that my play and strategy on the course has improved dramatically. Back in IL I literally did not think of club selection very rarely. I could rattle off almost exactly what clubs I would hit on every hole, for every shot, from start to finish. I just knew the yardages/clubs to hit. Now it seems every shot is to a hole I haven't seen before, I've started paying a lot more attention to hazards, pin placements, and it's opened up a whole new level of scoring for me. Handicap is now starting to drop accordingly. Wish I would've started "exploring" more courses back then, like I'm doing now. It's helping........
