I had my first ever H-I-O on 30th May this year playing in my first ever league match for my new club (Royal Automobile Club in UK).

This occurred on the 8th hole at Purley Downs GC, it was an elevated green so I did not see the ball go in, I actually thought I had gone through the back of the green until our opponents spotted the ball in the cup.

The club and the hole have been there for over 125 years, however, due to some complaints from residents of a house built just 3 years ago, next to the 8th, they are retiring the hole next month to be replaced by a fantastic new par 3 30 yard to the left, ..so as a result I may have the last ever H-I-O on the 8th at Purley Downs
