On June 3, 2021 on Hole #13 at Briarwood Golf Club, I was playing with my son [age 47], my grandson [14] and a freshman college player family friend . I was down three to my grandson and announced on the tee I was coming back when I hit the perfect shot...8 iron, 143 yard, slight draw...one hop...8 feet of roll into the cup! It was the first hole-in-one witnessed by my grandson and the college player so they were very excited. Perhaps the most interesting part of the story is that very morning I had donated a memorial bench for a good friend who died of covid-19 that will be placed on Hole # 13 tee box. I had been thinking about him and felt his spirt and encouragement with the shot. Great day for all of us.
