  1. Well sh*t... I just KNEW it would somehow happen this way (facepalm)

It could have been worse as it happened where I could finish the round and record a score. Preface: I've been sick with a cold. I got over the worst of it pretty quick but that sinus pressure just lingered. I hadn't touched a club in almost 10 days.. work was super busy too. Just had no energy. I hit a small bucket of balls earlier in the day and it felt like I had walked 18 holes. What was odd is I wasn't sweating much so I figured maybe the cold dehydrated the sh*t out of me.

So I came home and found my new (to me) 9° SIM / Ventus Blue waiting at my doorstep. I rested a little in the day and decided to head out in a cart about 6pm and just play a hole or two while forcing myself to drink a ton of water / amino acid solution. I started out on the 10 hole as the guy in the shop said it wasn't busy back there. Tee'd up a ball and hit the SIM pretty well. My second shot was short of the green as many times it is on this hole. Its the safe play because long is not good. Routine up and down for par.

I get to the 11 hole. Short par 3 (playing about 135 but downhill...referenced my previous last post on this thread) I don't even bother to tee it up. Still felt weak so I clubbed up to a 9i and made an easy pass. Made absolutely pure contact... was playing a bit into the sun so I didn't even bother looking... I thought nice easy birdie possibly though. I admittedly thought the ball hit stick but convinced myself it could have been anything.

I get to the hole and of course no ball.. I actually said "No ...No ... No not like this!!!" I took to 18 hole golf seriously about 20 years ago, never had a hole in one. Plenty of hole outs on par 4s but never an actual hole in one. Needless to say doing it the first time by yourself was not ideal. The only saving grace was that I could finish the round. My worst fear was holing out on a pure practice round hitting multiple balls. At least that did not happen here. The rest of the round was Ok. 5 bogeys and the rest pars for a 75.

Oh well it's over. Finally got one and hopefully won't have to wait another 20 years for the next one lol. Thanks for reading.
