We were playing in the last couple tournament of the year on 11/4/22, also my birthday weekend! We were on hole 6 of Avalon Golf & County Club in Lenoir City, TN. It is a par 3, 140 yard shot from the red tees. I pulled my 7 wood and knew it was going straight, but couldn’t see the green due to the distance and setting sun. Our friend was using his range finder to look at the green and try to see where his ball had went. He said, “ I think you hit a hole in one! I saw your ball hit the green, bounce twice and disappear!” Being the joker he is, I was skeptical. Needless to say, when we got up to the green I still was not expecting the result of a hole in one. It was a great evening celebrating!!
