I grew up in Sararsota, FL right on Bobby Jones Golf course never having interest in the game and then I discovered the wonder of playing the game a continent away as a young man while serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. Immediately it drew me in and I have spent the last 40 years loving this game. Now as a club player and low handicap player I've continued to chase that elusive hole in one always coming close however, never rewarded for the years of lessons and play until recently at Sara Bay CC here in Sarasota. On July 10, 2022 I was rewarded with a 125 yd pitching wedge to a front pin placment. My Titleist Pro V1 hit the green and releleased forward rolling into the hole. I was suprised and looking for the ball while my wife was jumping and screamin in celebration along with other players at nearby tee boxes. The club presented me with a beuatiful plaque to commenerate the day. It was high fives and great day to had for sure.
