It was one of those strikes that I knew was pure, but still, it didn't cross my mind that it was going to go in while it was in the air. We have have really small, sloped greens at Lebanon CC in Pennsylvania and balls can filter in many directions once they get on the ground. Hole 3, about 125 yards, slightly uphill, from our member tees. My ball flew about 2 feet behind the pin and slowly came back into the hole - a little bit of spin, a little bit of gravity. The foursome and I got to see the whole thing. Here's a note - earlier this summer, after a ball testing at my club, I switched from Pro V1 to Pro V1X and I've been hitting much higher quality shots. To make that point on an interesting note - for whatever this is worth - on the Saturday before my hole in one, while on a buddies trip in the Pocono Mountains, I holed out for Eagle from 190. At the time, I figured that was going to be one of the shots of my life. Maybe there's a there there - who knows. Anyway, I definitely really trust my Titleist. -Wes
