My first hole in one was in January 2006. In Arizona at a golf course that doesn’t even exist anymore. The Golf Club at Vistoso. 137 yards. 7 iron. Fast forward to February 2026. Now retired. More time for golf. Belong to Escalante Golf and play at both the Gallery and Dove Mountain. Finally got my second ace at Dove during a Ladies Invitational playing with close friends. 110 yards. 8 iron. (I’m 20 years older, remember?) The second time is bittersweet. My husband is now in memory care and golf has become my respite care. This hole in one came at a time when I needed a bright spot, and this on carried the brightness and warmth of the sun. Never give up - and while a hole in one is 1% skill and 99% luck, embrace that good fortune and be grateful for what it gives you.
