Hi Team Titleist,

This long weekend here in Melbourne was one of golf for me, playing two rounds on Saturday and Sunday, getting my first ever hole in one on the Sunday at Mt Derrimut GC.

I played the first 9 with a friend who went home as I teed off the 10th. Shortly after, I was asked to play through by two groups and reached the par 3, 15th. GPS had the front at 111M and 124M for the middle. Slight tailwind and the pin was at the front.

Normally, I’d never go for a front pin but I took my PW (110-115M club) and figured the wind would help it to the middle. The ball draws slightly, bounces and rolls. I hear a slight click and it disappears. Could this be every golfer’s nightmare? An ace with no witnesses?

I take out my phone and zoom in with the camera and I can’t see the ball. The group behind me who let me play through the previous hole were just off the green and I get their attention. They can’t see my ball on the green either and I had one of the check the hole ahead of me before I got there. “It’s in here! You did it!”, he said.

I fell to my knees and couldn’t believe it. I didn’t even know what to do! Who plans what they’ll do in this situation? I never thought I’d get it! Rest of the round, I couldn’t care what happened.
