I’ve been a scratch golfer for around 6 years now. Single digits for 10 years or so. My dad taught me the game. He passed away Sept 25th 2025. I’ve been a mess because he was my guy and we were close. Anyway during the off season I was driving around while working thinking about my dad. I grabbed his small canister of ashes and we made a deal. I basically said “ Dad I’ve been playing golf for 15 years and have been playing really well for around 10 years. After all of this time and all of those rounds I’ve still never had a hole in one. If you help me get one this coming golf season I’ll know that you’re up there looking down on me”. Fast Forward to Sunday May 24th Match Play weekend event at Ballston Spa Country Club. Par 3 6th hole 176 yards in pouring rain. I hit a cut 5 iron and it looked good the whole way. My titleist -prov1x landed 6-8 feet in front of the hole and rolled in.
