It was a windy day, so I decided to use a Titleist TruFeel that had seen better days, you know, just to make sure I didn't lose any Pro V1s.
Well, the stars aligned. I played all 18 holes with that ball and shot my best round ever at my home course, even with the wind.
After the round, I had league that evening, so I kept playing the same ball. It just seemed destined for something great (especially considering I usually lose a couple of balls every round).
By the 24th hole of the day, this beat-up ball was somehow still in play, and the good golf hadn't stopped. The wind had finally started to die down, but there was still a slight breeze at my back. My partner clubbed down and ended up hitting over the green, so I immediately went back to my bag and grabbed my gap wedge.
The strike was pure, and I knew it was on line the entire way. I was fortunate enough to watch it take one bounce and disappear straight into the hole.
I had to buy a lot of beers that night because of everyone playing in league, but I wouldn't trade that moment for anything!
