Team Titleist - If you have used or use a Scotty corded grip, please let me know your thoughts on pros and cons of the grip. I'm debating between the Scotty Corded Grip or the Pistolero smooth rubber grip. Thanks!

I used to have the SC cord grip on a putter. It feels very hasty and is not suitable for me. I've been using the matador midsize grip for many years. A soft feeling grip and my favourite.
  4. it is a feel thing….also you are comparing two different sizes of grips. The pistolero is slightly larger.

I prefer the Pistolero Plus at the end of the day….

    IMHO

Chris - I currently am using the 2022 gray pistolero grip and I really like it. I saw the corded grip in the custom shop and it looked to be the same size as the pistolero. Hard to find the grip to try it out.

Great for hot and sweaty days or rain!

Last week, my family and I were in southern CA for a week's vacation. I went to the Scotty Cameron gallery and got a new grip for my Studio Style which was all still original. I live and play most of my golf in Texas where it's hot and my hands get sweaty. I went away from the smooth grip to the corded grip and immediately fell in love. It feels more secure in my hands and I lost nothing from the feel of the club. I played 3x out there including one round at Torrey Pines. It was phenomenal and I wish I would have switched years ago!

So my vote is for the corded grip, but mostly because I play in hot weather a lot of the year.

I usually play in the midwest (OH) or the south (NC/FL) so it's usually hot and humid or rainy. I'll give it some serious consideration.

It's all about personal feel on this one. Personally I use full cord grips throughout my bag, including my Scotty Del Mar. In my experience, most players do not prefer a full cord grip but I appear to be the exception.

I really prefer the red, cord grip, but my experience is that it gets hard/slippery way too quickly. Washing is very temporary, and wire brushing it helps but again is temporary. I like something with a bit of tack and am considering a Grip Master leather grip or maybe an Iomic, but I can't find either near me to test for size and feel.

I think I could get used to the newer style pistolero plus on the current Phantoms, though!
