Just curious of different swing quirks others have. Something that others might seem as odd, or noticeably different. Not pre-shot routine stuff tho. That's another beast, lol.
Anyways, I have 1. I only do it with the driver and it seems so natural to me now, as I've done it pretty much since I started taking the game serious.
What I do, with the driver, when I address the ball, I set the club, heel past the ball, arms fully extended. Then slowly drag the club towards me, closer, as soon as it is directly behind the ball, I pull the trigger. Not sure why exactly I still do it other than habit and it feels comfy. I just don't have a nice feel if I don't do it, even on the range, and it's the only club I do it with.
On a similar note, a guy a round with occasionally, does close to the opposite, he addresses the ball like he is gonna take a full practice swing. He is a good 3-4 inches from the ball and then goes into his swing. Much more pronounced than Zach Johnson teeing his up off the toe.
Just a thought I had an curious if others have these tendencies as well.
