the subject says it all...i had my two worst rounds of my recent golf memory the last two weeks. a hard 91 and a hard 92. i say "hard" because if i was not putting so well it would have been a mid 90's score. i used to play up to 20 rds per year and one practice session per week on the range during the warm months in NY. With young kids in the house now i have gone from that number to now only maybe 10 to 13 rds per year... just played 7th rd this past week and its late august already... i have no clue what my swing will be like on the course and when i do it is usually not till the 6th hole. i am a 10 handicap now but have played as low as a 9. i am all over the place off the tee. I am very frustrated and to be honest embarrased by this because i have broken 80 7 to 10 times in the last 5 or 6 yrs.
two questions-
equipment- .are my titleist ap2's simply too hard for a guy playing only 10 to 12 rds per year?
mental- should i take it easy on myself b/c i am just not playing enough to expect a good low 80's score every time i play?
