Today I made an eagle on the Par 5 12th hole at Meadowood Golf and Tennis Club in Ft. Pierce, FL. It was a 92 yard shot with my AP1 PW and Pro V1 ball. One of my playing partners took a picture of me taking the ball out of the cup and transferred it to my phone and if I knew how, I would post it. I'm sure this is not a big thing to some of the better players, but I was pretty excited about it. As a matter of fact, we are all members here and no one in our Men's group (about 40) could remember the last. Frank P

Congrats Frank! Holing out a shot from the fairway is always a rewarding experience, especially when it is for eagle.

Frank, it happens more with this group than you'd think.  Also on the 16th, I holed out my Pro V1 for an eagle from 146 yards in the rough on the par 5 1st hole at one of my two home courses, using my AP2 712 6 iron.  On line the whole way, a couple of hops, and the ball disappeared.  We were playing net skins and I had visions of a definite skin.  The weather decided to not cooperate, however.  We started with temps in the low 60's or high 50's and very light drizzle or mist.  By the 4th hole, we were in a good downpour and took a time out to head for shelter for about 15 minutes.  By the time we finished the front nine, the temperature was in the low-40's and the wind was blowing out of the north at 15-20 mph.  Five of the seven playing in our event decided to call it quits after the front nine.  Since I had a good round going--and we were also playing the round as part of our larger group's Season Challenge (sort of like the Fed Ex Cup)--two of us decided to press on, freezing or not.  As it turned out, we were the only two who completed a round that day, so we got the points for first and second.  And all because of the eagle on the first hole.

Congratulations on the eagle, Frank! Any time you are two strokes under par for a hole there are a lot of things going right for you. Enjoy it and look forward to your next.
