I'm in the stages to plan a small 1 day Ryder cup event on a Saturday March 14,2015 cypresswood traditions course Houston,Texas . Every player puts in 10 dollars and it's a blind draw for teams.
Format will be 9 holes Better Ball "Four Ball" and 9 holes Alternate shot "Foursome"..
"Fourball" play is a match in which each member of the two-man teams plays their own ball. Four balls are in play per hole with each of the four players competing. The team whose player has the lowest score on that hole wins the hole. Should players from each team tie for the best score, the hole is halved.
"Foursomes" play is a match where two golfers play together against two other golfers and each team plays one ball. The golfers play alternate shots (player A hits tee shot, player B hits second shot, etc) until the hole is played out. Team members alternate playing the tee shots, with one golfer hitting the tee shot on odd-numbered holes, and the other hitting the tee shot on the even-numbered holes. The team with the better score wins the hole. Should the two teams tie for best score, the hole is halved.
***we will play double bogey is the worst that you can take just to try and keep up place of play.
*** there are a lot of woods on the course and we will play them as lateral water hazards..

10:00am Blind draw for teams. Once teams are picked, the team will pick a Team Captain. players choice playing partner and tee time/group #/order of play slot.
10:30am Each Team Captain independently submits the order of play for his Team to me. The lists from each Captain are matched based on tee time/group #/order of play slot. resulting in the "Pairings". Please note that the players in pairings can be modified by the Team Captains only if a player is ill,injured, running late. Pairings are subject to change and should not be considered final until play begins for a particular match.
11:00am first tee time/Group #1
11:07am 2nd tee time/Group #2
11:15am 3rd tee time/Group #3
11:23am 4th tee time/Group #4
11:32am 5th tee time/Group #5
11:40am 6th tee time/Group #6
tee times and price are set for saturday March 14,2015. price is 56.00 plus tax including range balls for cypress wood traditions course. tee times are from 11am-11:37am but need to be there at 10:00am to blind draw.
