    I find myself wanting to learn more about the rules of golf.  If not all of them.  Mainly because I inadvertently called 2 strokes on myself during the club championship.  At address, I made a slight forward press with my wedge and made contact with the ball.  The ball rocked in it's place, but did not move out of it.  This happened twice on two different occasions.  I later found out these were not penalty strokes.  I thought instead of reading the rules book, I could learn from the experiences of my TT members of what may or may not have been penalties/infractions and what penalty strokes, if any were assessed.     Tyler is right,you will learn more from this site,from equipment to balls and stroke play to the difference in match play rules and amateur  status rules,

    I love the game of golf and knowing the rules makes it even more fun. From my experience the majority of golfers do not know the basic rules. A lot of players play by rules that I call campfire BS. Learn the basics and keep a copy of the rules in your bag or you can download an rules app to your smart phone. Believe me, there will be occasions where your fellow competitors will have no clue but argue over some rule infraction that they are absolutely clueless.
